Food Combinations

Food combining is the term for the idea that certain foods pair well together, while others do not. Various food combination theories have somewhat controversial views, however, there are some points that they agree on.

The laws of food combining can vary somewhat depending on the source, but some most common rules include the following:

Don't combine starches and proteins.
Don't combine starches with acidic foods.
Don't combine different types of protein.
Eat fruit alone
Don’t combine oxalate-containing foods and dairy products

Acid and Alkaline Enzymes
The digestion of starches (grains, potatoes, and many other roots) requires alkaline conditions, whereas the enzymes that digest proteins thrive in an acidic environment. So, if we eat starch and a protein together, we're asking our digestive systems to be alkaline and acidic at the same time. Acid and alkaline solutions neutralize each other, which can slow down digestion and cause bloating or fatigue.

 Eat Fruit Alone
Other nutrients prevent the transit of fruits into the intestines, and the rich natural sugar sources of the fruits are used by the bacteria present in the stomach, which in turn cause everything in the stomach to rapidly ferment and produce acid and gas. For this reason, fruit defeat not only with other nutrients but also more suitable for the body.

No proteins and starches at the same meal
The required alkaline environment for the digestion of starchy foods and the need for acidic media for the digestion of proteins are contradictory. When starchy foods and protein foods are consumed together, both food types are undigested by fermentation. as a result, more toxins are left to the more acidic waste digestive tract and damage to the body.

Don't combine different types of animal protein.
In case two different animal protein is consumed, none of these foods can be digested and the body is acidified by decomposing toxin wastes in the body to cause the body's resistance to being broken.

Oxalate-containing foods and dairy products
Consuming calcium sources such as dairy products with oxalate-containing foods can actually decrease the risk of developing kidney stones.
Combining oxalates and calcium decreases the absorption of calcium.
